Large horse statue replica of Acropolis museum in Athens handcrafted in Greece. Unique solid bronze sculpture, masterfully made with the traditional method of casting bronze, museum type oxidization and verdigris finish. The statue is mounted on a black Greek marble base.
The horse was a Symbol of wealth and good status. They were integral to a thriving economy and an essential part of victorious warfare in ancient Greece.
The original horse of which only the front part remains was dedicated to Athena ca 490-480BC and is now in the Acropolis Museum in Athens.
